Universal Health Services, Inc. Supports PA Governor Wolf’s New Initiative ‘Reach Out PA — Your Mental Health Matters’

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., January 2, 2020 — Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS), one of the largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, offers its support of Governor Tom Wolf’s initiative announced today, ‘Reach Out PA: Your Mental Health Matters,’ aimed at expanding resources and the state’s comprehensive support of mental health and related healthcare priorities in Pennsylvania.

UHS remains committed, on both a local and national level, to raising awareness about mental health and substance use issues, replacing stigma with hope. We pledge to continue to work with Governor Wolf, state agencies, county mental health programs and the Legislature to enhance access to mental health services in the Commonwealth.

In the Commonwealth, UHS employs interdisciplinary treatment teams of clinicians and staff at ten Behavioral Health facilities that offer high quality, compassionate care in a 24/7 setting, serving individuals with special and sometimes complex, mental health needs. In Pennsylvania, UHS operates ten facilities with over 1,500 licensed beds.
