Valley Health System Owner UHS, BAYADA Partner to Launch ‘Valley Health at Home by BAYADA’

The joint venture, part of BAYADA’s national strategic partnership with Universal Health Services, will expand access and spur clinical innovation; marks BAYADA’s entry into Nevada

Philadelphia, Pa., January 18, 2022 — Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS), owner of subsidiary The Valley Health System, which offers an integrated system of care for more than two million people in Southern Nevada, and BAYADA Home Health Care, a leading not-for-profit home health care provider, today launched Valley Health at Home by BAYADA, a joint venture partnership that will further expand integrated care delivery network capabilities into patient homes.

Valley Health at Home by BAYADA leverages the combined resources and expertise of The Valley Health System and BAYADA to strengthen the post-acute continuum of care to meet the increasing demand for in-home services, particularly among the aging population. The joint venture will help patients of The Valley Health System and other providers to manage chronic conditions or recover from recent surgery, illness, or injury in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

“We are thrilled to partner with BAYADA to help patients of The Valley Health System receive in-home nursing and therapy services to help them live healthier lives at home,” said Karla Perez, Regional Vice President, The Valley Health System. “Together, we will help to improve health outcomes for residents of Southern Nevada while charting a new future for home healthcare in our region.”

The joint venture, which is now accepting new patients, is the first in a strategic partnership between BAYADA and The Valley Health System owner Universal Health Services (UHS) to expand The Valley Health System’s healthcare services and offerings, bringing more care to more patients along the full continuum of care. It also marks BAYADA’s entry into Nevada; the organization currently has offices in 22 other states as well as operations in eight countries.

“We believe that BAYADA’s management, operational and clinical expertise, combined with The Valley Health System’s commitment to innovative integrated delivery networks, will help take an important step toward the home being the center of health care,” said David Baiada, CEO of BAYADA Home Health Care. “We’re excited to serve the residents of Las Vegas—and to launch our first office in the state of Nevada—to spur innovation and help individuals live at home with comfort, independence and dignity.”
